Do you have an age limit?

This party is strictly 21+.

Where is Death Defying taking place?

Rockefeller's, a historic venue built in 1925, about 5 minutes from downtown Houston.

When is it?

Saturday, October 31, 2026, on the 100th anniversary of Harry Houdini's death.

How long is the party?

Early entry starts at 8pm. General Admission starts at 9pm. Last scene is at midnight.

When should I arrive?

Your reservation will include an entry time. Arrive 5-10 minutes before your entry time. If you're late, we will let you in as soon as we can.

Is there parking available?

Parking is available at Rockefeller's, but it is limited. We encourage ride share where possible.

Is it open bar?

Early Entry and VIP will receive drink tokens upon entry. An upstairs and a downstairs bar will serve drinks for purchase.

Wait, is this a theatrical show?

In part, yes. Scenes will take place throughout the evening that go deeper into The Man From Beyond story.

Wait, I thought this was a party?

Yes, 100% a party. A six-piece jazz band, a magician, a trio of singers, tarot readers, and two bars serve an evening of indulgence.

Are there going to be puzzles?

None whatsoever. It's an evening of indulgence, not intelligence.

Is this like Club Drosselmeyer?

Club Drosselmeyer is a wonderful experience, but there won't be any puzzles or game play at Death Defying.

What should I wear?

Dress as Spirits of the Jazz Age. If vintage is not your thing, give your favorite formal attire a spooky twist.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets go first to the Priority Access List. Additional tickets, if available, will be posted on our ticketing page.

When do tickets go on sale?

Soon. Join the Priority Access List to learn the release date.

What tickets should I buy?

Guests purchase tickets for a specific entry time. Entry is staggered every eight minutes so we can greet every guest with something special.

Will Lucidity be open by Halloween weekend?

We cannot guarantee Lucidity will be open by then. But we can promise it will be worth the wait.

Will there be other immersive shows on Halloween weekend?

The Man From Beyond will be available for bookings. Great Gold Bird will also return.

Other immersive shows created by friends of Strange Bird may be announced shortly.
